Feel uplifted, energised, refreshed and positive after this spring-inspired day retreat at Crosby, Carlisle.

This unique and fun event is suitable for everyone, including beginners in art or yoga. Expect the day to start off very chilled and informal with hot drinks (or cold) on arrival and an introduction. We're all about those relaxed vibes here!

We will then make our way to the Yoga space to enjoy and flow through spring-inspired yoga, focusing on creative shapes, uplifting flows, even partner up with a buddy to see just how fun it is to work in pairs and have a laugh. This is about fun, embracing, confidence-boosting and learning to let go of fear and insecurities. After this, the yoga slows right down into restorative yin/floor yoga focusing on the lower back and hips.

After the yoga, it's time to breathe into renewal with a Spring-Inspired Heart Chakra Sound Bath, a gentle and nourishing experience designed to awaken the heart and invite a sense of fresh possibility. Aligned with the Heart Chakra (Anahata), this sound bath draws on the energy of spring - growth, softness, and new beginnings. Light, flowing tones from singing bowls, chimes, and harmonic instruments create a soundscape that feels spacious and uplifting, like the first warm breeze after winter. The vibrations move through the chest and upper body, encouraging the release of emotional heaviness and the gentle opening of the heart.

The lunch is included in this retreat and will be a colourful, healthy yet indulgent feast that will nourish your body whilst satisfying your soul, especially when we get to the spring-themed cakes and goodies! (a little bit of naughty is good). Hot drinks will always be available and we can cater for your dietary needs (please mention these when booking on the website or get in touch). There is a fridge at the hall to keep water bottles cold, as well as fresh summer drinks and juices which are included. There is the option to sit outside on the patio if it's a lovely day and you can go for a walk as well locally (there's a park, grass and village you are more than welcome to walk around during the lunch break if you wanted to)

The Art class at the end of the retreat will be for all levels, beginners or experienced artists. Everything is included so you don't have to bring anything apart from an apron or old clothes/something to protect your clothes and maybe something to carry your artwork home in (ie. a sheet, cardboard, box etc) in case it's still wet and needs to go into your car. We will be learning about different techniques and ways in which you can create stunning yet simple pieces of art in watercolours, such as flowers, leaves, plants or anything that's nature inspired. The theme is Spring so I will have some examples of images and items that may help spark some imagination. There will be help throughout, including one-to-one support, should you need it.

What do I need?

Comfortable clothing for the yoga is important to allow free movement. Extra layers is also important to bring in case it's chilly, although this venue has very good heating which we may not need this time of year, but you never know! If you need an inhaler, you must bring it to the retreat. If you take any medication during the day, please remember to bring it and inform us of any medical conditions when booking. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day (there will be drinking water and glasses at the hall but a bottle is less likely to spill fluid). For the art at the end of the day, you may want to bring an apron or old top to protect your clothes from paint. You will also need something to bring your artwork home in with you like a plastic bag, sheets or box to protect your car as the paint may still be wet. All art supplies and materials are provided. You won't need to bring a yoga mat or blocks/belts with you as you will be able to borrow them at the retreat. If you want to use your own however, you are more than welcome to. Lunch is provided at the retreat, so you must inform us of any dietary needs or allergies at least 3 days beforehand at the latest to allow us time to make alterations to the menu.

Is this suitable for me?

If you have any questions at all, or if you are unsure whether or not the retreat is right for you, please get in touch before booking. We try to adapt and cater the retreat to suit most people, however if you have any disability, injury, recently recovered from surgery, or struggle physically with moving / walking, you must get in touch before booking so that we can assess if the retreat is suitable and safe for you as we may be able to come up with adaptations that allow you to participate still. If you struggle with loud noises, strong smells or flashing lights, please let us know beforehand so we can discuss if there are ways in which we can make adaptations to allow you to feel comfortable at this event. There will be a diffuser with essential oils, an aurora star light which projects light on the ceiling and the instruments used for sound healing can be overwhelming for those sensitive to sound.

Health & Safety

It is your responsibility when booking that you inform us of any allergies, medical conditions or physical disability (Physical disability is defined as a “limitation on a person's physical functioning, mobility, dexterity or stamina” that has a 'substantial' and 'long-term' negative effect on an individual's ability to do normal daily activities.) You take part at this event at your own risk as everything has been risk assessed and the yoga instructor is a qualified yoga instructor, but all forms of movement can have at least a small risk of injury depending on the persons body, health or past injuries. Instructions during activities will be given clearly, with adaptations and variations to suit different people, but only you can feel what is right for your body and where your own limits are. It is important you do not push beyond what feels right for you.

Refund policy

Tickets at this retreat are non-refundable. You can give your ticket to somebody else however, should you be unable to attend - please make sure they let us know of any medical conditions beforehand and by allowing them to book, they agree to the terms and conditions of this retreat. We will also need their full name and contact details.
