Service Description

Location: Upstairs in the Jubilee Room at Currock Community Centre (main front door entrance) Lediard Ave, Currock, Carlisle CA2 4BS About the Art Class Join us in this fun and relaxed art class that's suitable for both beginners and experienced artists. All materials are included, as well as the canvas which you can take home with you. Just bring an apron or something to protect your clothes (or embrace the artistic look and wear clothing you don't mind getting a bit of paint on) In this art class, we will be learning about how to not only paint trees, but create dramatic dimension with the use of light and shadow. Don't worry! this sounds complicated, but it's easier than you think - learn simple and quick ways to create realistic light beams and see how shadows can instantly create a realistic landscape. As well as being taught the different skills and techniques, you will also get 1-1 support if you require it. This class is about having fun, so we don't worry too much about perfection, it's all a process. We want you to feel inspired, explore different ways of painting and learn something new. The atmosphere will be very relaxed with the option of soft music if people want it, and there will be hot beverages with a slice of cake. This is all included in your ticket as well as materials. Below are some examples of work I've done previously for inspiration on ideas and examples of what I can teach you.

By booking this class, I agree to the following: I also take full responsibility for my health and safety regarding entering the building and leaving and taking the stairs as well as participating in the art class. Paints and thinners can cause mild skin irritation for some people, although rare, if you get a skin reaction from the paints used, we hold no responsibility. We will supply latex gloves for those who have sensitive skin. Due to limited spaces and overhead costs, these tickets are non-refundable but you can give your ticket to another person to take your place - just make sure they let us know of any medical information, allergies or dietary needs and by allowing them to attend, they agree with the terms and conditions.
