Rolling Up Yoga Mat

What Do I Need?

We have everything you need - mats, blankets, blocks, chairs & belts - sometimes we bring additional props depending on the theme of the class that week. You can of course bring your own equipment if you prefer, but it's always handy to know we have backup & it's always handy to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Don't want to book online? You can bring cash or we have a card reader for contactless payments.

What to wear

Comfortable clothing that's loose, or very flexible such as leggings, jogging bottoms, shorts, or loose-fitting trousers as well as a top that has plenty of movement / is comfortable. We always practice yoga with shoes off, and we advice people to have bare feet for better grip but you're welcome to keep your socks on if this is more comfortable for you (or wear grippy socks)

Can Anyone attend?

Yes, everyone is welcome and there is no "type" in these classes. We accept you exactly as you are, at any fitness level. Yoga is so adaptable so we will make it work for you. These classes are designed to work for both beginners and intermediate/advanced level so everyone will benefit from their practice.

Not flexible? Even more reason to join!

We want people who are real people with real lives who are on their own unique journey. We don't look for perfection, we look for realistic goals because we want you to feel good at the end of every class.

We can also make special arrangements if you require them, such as lighting adjustment for epilepsy, smell and sound adjustment for those with sensitivity, and chair options if you have mobility struggles.

What are the Classes like?

Every week has a new theme to keep your practice fresh, fun and engaging. We want you to step onto the mat with excitement, knowing each class offers something a little different.

Classes include soft or upbeat music (depending on the theme), gentle essential oils, and calming mood lighting — especially in evening sessions — to create a soothing, sensory space. If you’re sensitive to scents or sounds, we always adapt to make you comfortable.

All poses are fully adaptable, with variations offered for every level. Megan teaches intuitively, offering support when needed without ever drawing unwanted attention. You’ll always feel welcomed, included and never “less than.”

Each class finishes with a 5–10 minute relaxation (shavasana) with guided meditation, sound healing or soft music. Earplugs are available for sound sensitivity, and you’re welcome to use your own headphones. This short rest helps settle the nervous system, bringing you into a peaceful, restorative state before you head back into your day.

Sound Baths

Sound Baths

What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you simply lie down, get comfortable, and allow waves of calming sound to wash over you. Using instruments like crystal bowls, chimes, gongs and gentle percussion, the session creates soothing vibrations that help your body and mind slow down, release tension and reset.

You don’t need to “do” anything — there is no movement, no effort, and no expectations. Just rest. The sounds naturally guide your nervous system into a quieter, more peaceful state, helping you feel grounded, centred, and restored.

Many people describe sound baths as a soft, sensory escape: a moment where the world gets quiet, your breath deepens, and your whole system feels supported. Whether you’re new to relaxation practices or simply need a pause, a sound bath is a beautiful way to unwind and reconnect with yourself.

What do I need?

Although we supply the mats, blankets and cushions for laying on and wrapping up with, it's always best to bring extra from home for comfort (or if they get used up should we get high numbers).

Some ideas on what you can bring to a sound bath are:

Some bed cushions or large cushions

Camping mattress (inflatable)

Neck cushion

Warm layers and socks

Big blankets

Collapsible sun lounger for camping chair if you struggle with getting up and down from the floor

Retreats

Retreats

1000032713.jpg

What to expect

Our day retreats are usually in or around Carlisle, with the exception of being slightly further such as closer to the Lake District or towards Penrith.

They vary in style and prices, with shorter ones being £40-£50 where you bring your own packed lunch, to slightly longer day retreats that include lunch, as well as art/art supplies which tend to be priced around £70-£85 (early bird tickets being the cheaper option)

In the spring/summer, we do Heal with Nature retreats that are usually in Armathwaite and involve mindful circle activities, hot beverages, yoga, woodland walk and forest sound bath.

Creative Retreats

We sometimes include an art class within our retreats to give it that creative flare that everyone can enjoy. These are always suitable for beginners or experienced artists and materials are always included to make it convenient.

Every retreat is slightly different, but they usually include some form of sound healing, yoga, art or nature.

There will be some retreats that are slightly different, that may include more outdoor activities, or more art, or just yoga and sound healing.

Art Workshops

What to expect

Our Art classes are usually about three hours long and everything is supplied, from the easel and canvas, to the paint and brushes. We always have hot beverages and some light-bites, with the option of soft music in the background if people want it.

These are fun, relaxed classes that are designed to make you feel at ease and enjoy the process of art. You will be taught how to paint various things, with themed sessions in different mediums. Some examples are:

Oil painting landscapes

Painting trees

Dramatic skies

Animals and nature

People or buildings

Abstract & Expressive

Sculpture / clay

and more!

When & Where?

In January 2026, we will be starting semi-regular art classes at Currock Community Centre with a day time one being on a weekend, and an evening session during the week (most likely a Friday)

The evening sessions will include a mix of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, as well as a cheese board, crackers, cakes and snacks.

The day time classes will have hot beverages and nibbles. You won't need to bring any art equipment to these workshops but we recommend wearing clothes that you won't mind getting a bit of paint on, or an apron.

Hire me for an Event

Fancy something different for your next Birthday, Hen-Do, Workplace or School?

Wellness days are extremely popular at the moment with people doing more calming activities that promote a sense of wellbeing, positive thinking, connection and creativity.

I can come up with ideas / packages for your hire, or you may have an idea yourself. We can work together and make this event exactly how you'd like it to be. Prices vary depending on venue cost, travel distance, equipment needed and length of event, so it's always best to get in touch first to discuss things in detail.

Yoga & Art with Children

I regularly get hired by Schools, Youth Groups & other businesses to run Yoga classes, Sound Baths, Games, Team-building activities and Art with Children who are aged anywhere between 5 - 16 years.

Introducing the younger generation to something that promotes a sense of connection, harmony and mindfulness is a powerful tool for them to take away and use in their everyday life, especially in education when stress levels can be high.

My teaching style of Yoga is very different with children. It's designed to work well with those who have a lot of energy and difficulty with concentrating whilst encouraging children to build on their confidence and try new things. I keep these sessions fun, engaging, unique and captivating to maintain focus and entertainment whilst gradually calming the children down for relaxation using gentle methods of sound therapy, visual guided meditation and sensory lights.

I bring everything you need as I have enough mats for up to 30 students, and I also bring props that make the classes extremely fun and dynamic, as well as cater for those with Additional needs, ADHD, Autism or hard of hearing.
